I had such a great afternoon with Xavier and his family as they all met at Waterford Wine Estate in Stellenbosch the afternoon of his Matric Farewell. There was a lot of excitement in the air as all the Matriculants arrived, greeted each other and saw what the other was wearing! The girls all looked so beautiful and the guys all so handsome. We did some fun photos of Xavier and his girlfriend, Kiara, as well as some family photos. Xavier’s mother loves to display photos at home of the families’ special occasions so I hope these will become well cherished memories for them all.
Trishan and Seema
I was lucky enough to be a part of Trishan and Seema’s engagement in Cape Town and it was just the most special occasion! Trishan told Seema they were coming to Cape Town for a work function and decided to “stop on the way” at Cape Point Vineyards to have a look around. He then got down on one knee amongst the vines and asked her to be his wife. She was so taken by surprise and excitedly and through tears, said yes. I spent a little time with the couple before they enjoyed a picnic with a spectacular view.
Siophan and Shane
Siophan and Shane chose to get married in the middle of winter and were blessed with a day more gorgeous than most summer days! It was warm and clear with not a breathe of wind, just perfect! But the weather wasn’t the only perfect thing, Siophan was elegant and classic, Shane was dapper and suave and their hearts filled with love and excitement. It was one of those weddings I smile through from start to finish.
Roche and Gareth
I had the great pleasure of being part of Roche and Gareth’s wedding day, it was just so full of joy and laughter. I met the couple prior to their wedding day where I learnt that Gareth works out of the country so they don’t see as much of each other as they would like. I really do take my hat off to them as I can’t imagine how difficult that must be.
Kate and Rikus
I met Kate and Rikus just over a year before their wedding, Kate contacted me for an engagement shoot and they brought their adorable doggies along! I loved spending the afternoon with them so when Kate asked me to shoot their wedding, I was so excited.
Heidi and Michael
I have known Heidi for the longest time, we danced together many years ago and she was one of my first guinea pigs when I started playing around with a camera. So I was super excited and honored when she got in touch with me from the U.K., where she now lives, to be a part of their special day.
Abby and Shane
I am not really sure where to begin with this wedding! There is so much that I want to convey but I am not sure how to put it into words.
Yolande and Raymond
Yolande and Raymond were married on a lovely warm day in March. It was an intimate wedding that they had been planning for some time. So when the day arrived there was much excitement and happiness.
Beverley and Sylvester
I first met Beverley and Sylvester a few months ago when we did their engagement shoot in Kalk Bay (see the pics here). It was an extremely windy day and the universe made up for that by giving them perfect weather on their wedding day! I was so excited as I drove to Stellenbosch, there was no wind and perfect cloud cover.
Julia and Salomon
I first met Julia and Salomon about a year ago on a trip to Thailand to shoot Julia’s cousin’s wedding. After finding out they were expecting a little, precious bundle, Julia contacted me to do a maternity shoot. I was so excited! They are such a great couple and I loved getting to spend some time with them again. Baby Conan is now a healthy growing boy and they are loving every second with their son.
