A chef and an avid fisherman met and fell in love and were married at Welgelee in Stellenbosch! This is Michelle and Rudi’s story.
Kudzai and Joakim
Kudzai and Joakim traveled all the way to Cape Town to say I Do and chose Blue Horizon Estate as their wedding venue. Kudzai is originally from South Africa but moved to Sweden with her parents years ago and that is where she met her prince and fell in love. They journeyed back to share their special day with friends and family.
Bronwyn and Damian
After meeting these two love birds for their engagement session a few months ago, I was very excited when the wedding day rolled around. They are such a sweet couple, loving and devoted and just a ton of silliness!
Cheri and Jason
It was a great occasion for me to be part of the marriage of Cheri and Jason. I have been lucky enough to shoot the weddings of a few of their friends so it was wonderful to see this group again. They chose Buffelsfontein as their venue and I was treated to a welcoming giraffe as I drove into the reserve! The girls were gathered to prepare and were all full of excitement. Cheri kept telling me how excited she was and how she couldn’t believe she was getting to marry her best friend. It was so sweet to see her so happy.
Michelle and Rudi’s Engagement
I met Michelle and Rudi in Kalk Bay, one of my favourite shoot locations, for their engagement pictures. It was a perfectly cloudy day and I love how the images came out. They started off a little shy but soon eased into it. Michelle has such a great laugh and Rudi seems to be able to get it out of her pretty easily! I am sure their wedding in March is going to be just wonderful, I am so looking forward to it.
Claudia and Paul
Claudia and Paul’s big day was the last wedding of my season, and it was the absolute best way to end off! It was a perfect winter’s day in Stellenbosch, the light was just too amazing and they are such a beautiful couple inside and out. I was in photography heaven!
Roxy and Clinton
Roxy and Clinton were married in Paarl on a gorgeous summer’s day. An elegant wedding in shades of purple. Clinton is a soft spoken gentleman, a doctor no less, and Roxy has a wonderful heart and her love shines through in her smile. I had a wonderful day surrounded by their love and the warmth of their families.
Nadia and Jaime
Nadia and Jaime were married on a beautiful day in Paarl and it was a glamorous celebration! I had been in contact with Nadia a fair amount leading up to the big day and she had filled me in on all her plans. Everything came together beautifully!
Petra and Davin
I was very excited when Petra and Davin booked me to shoot their wedding and then told me it was at Strandkombuis in Yzerfontein! I really love this venue, it offers something so unique and special and I just knew it was going to be gorgeous. Petra has beautiful taste and her decor choices certainly showed that. Everything was romantic and classic and kept with the soft colours that suit the beach so well.
Michelle and Gareth
I have known Michelle and Gareth for a number of years now, we met through a mutual friend and I was so excited when they asked me to photograph their wedding. They are such a fun and warm couple, they know how to laugh at themselves and with each other and I knew it was going to be one special celebration. They chose a weekend wedding at Pat Busch Mountain Reserve just outside Robertson. Their family and friends joined them on Friday evening for a braai and a chance for everyone to get to know each other.
