Siophan and Shane chose to get married in the middle of winter and were blessed with a day more gorgeous than most summer days! It was warm and clear with not a breathe of wind, just perfect! But the weather wasn’t the only perfect thing, Siophan was elegant and classic, Shane was dapper and suave and their hearts filled with love and excitement. It was one of those weddings I smile through from start to finish.
This couple made me feel so welcome and I had such a lot of fun during all stages of the day. The girls were full of laughter as they got Siophan dressed and ready to marry her special man in the chapel on the school grounds where she is a teacher. It was such a picturesque setting, a historic chapel surrounded by bare winter trees and crisp clear sky. From the time the guests got to shower the couple with confetti the laughter started and didn’t stop. Siophan and Shane’s friends and family were such a warm and fun group it made my job so easy.
I really enjoyed the time I got to spend with them during their couple shoot. They were so comfortable in each others arms, full of laughs and jokes and cuddles. The colours on the grounds of Steenberg Estate were just magical, the brightest green grass and warm light. It was a photographer’s dream!
The reception was a gorgeous mix of burgundy and rose gold that Siophan loved and the atmosphere was just as warm and gorgeous! The guests laughed their way through the speeches and then enjoyed a simple and sweet first dance. This was followed up by a wonderful party! It was what the couple wanted, a really fun night of dancing, a little throw back to when they first met.
To two of the most wonderful and special people I am so grateful I got to meet, I wish you so much love and happiness in your future. Never stop dancing together 🙂
