Jodie and Pieter were married at Cafe Felix in the charming little town of Riebeek Kasteel. I loved this venue, not only because of their cat mascot, but for it’s warm and welcoming feel. It was perfect for this couple’s intimate wedding and the food was delicious!
Jodie and Pieter met and lived in the U.K. for many years so many of their guests traveled to share this day with them. They wanted a day of celebration shared with their nearest and dearest and that is certainly what they achieved.
The day started off a little gloomy with patches of drizzle while Jodie was getting ready. They decided to go ahead and have their ceremony in the courtyard which was so beautiful. Their daughter started off the service by walking down the aisle to her Dad carrying their rings. She stayed by their sides all the way through watching all that went on.
We were lucky enough to have a break in the light rain for their couple’s photos. We headed out to a picturesque farm close to the venue for their shoot, the light was soft and they were all too happy to be in each other’s arms! I love how Pieter makes Jodie laugh, they are definitely not going to be having any dull moments together in the years to come! They are just so comfortable with one another and are able to be totally themselves, silly and fun!
The rest of the evening was relaxed and easy going. They enjoyed an amazing dinner with their guests followed by speeches and dancing.
Thank you both so much for having me share this most special day with you. I was reminded how fun love can be and how easy when you meet the right person. All the love and happiness for your life together. x
