I was so excited to book Megan and Claire’s wedding as they had chosen a venue I had always wanted to shoot at, Gelukkie in Paternoster. Once I met the couple I was even more excited! They are such lovely, thoughtful people. Megan is the bubbly one and Claire is shy and private. They are such a lovely blend of personality traits and it makes their relationship unique and grounded.
They chose a morning ceremony so I arrived in Paternoster in the early hours of morning. Everything was fresh and crisp, there was no wind and the sun was starting to warm up the air. It was the perfect start to a day that would hold so much love and new beginnings for these two. Both girls were surrounded by family as they got dressed and ready to walk down the aisle. There were tears and laughter all around!
Megan and Claire then exchanged vows under the trees followed by canapes shared with their guests. They went for a most delicious gourmet burger lunch, I was in heaven! They shared champagne with their guests as speeches were made and toasts raised. It was so wonderful to hear how loved and supported they are.
We then went off for their photo session. With the wind having picked up we decided to just stay at Gelukkie to capture their couples pics. I am so in love with what we did, the love between them just flows out of the images and that is all I could ever wish for.
I wish you both the happiest life together for always. I am so grateful to have been part of this day with you and to have gotten to hear your story. In the end, love is all that matters.
