I first met Beverley and Sylvester a few months ago when we did their engagement shoot in Kalk Bay (see the pics here). It was an extremely windy day and the universe made up for that by giving them perfect weather on their wedding day! I was so excited as I drove to Stellenbosch, there was no wind and perfect cloud cover.
The couple chose Zorgvliet as their venue and went with a clean and elegant theme for the day. I loved the individual bouquets used as centerpieces. Beverley chose this option so that the guests could easily take home and enjoy the flowers. They both love travel and named their tables after destinations they have visited together, I love personal touches like this.
Vows were shared in the chapel after Beverley’s emotional entrance. Sylvester wears his heart on his sleeve and his love for Bev just poured out. It was such a special and emotional ceremony. Upon leaving the chapel the couple were showered with confetti and a little rain, it was so cool! The rain fell for a short period of time and not hard enough to disrupt anything, it could not have been scripted better!
The bridal party shoot was filled with laughter, what a cool group of friends (and milkshake bridesmaids!!) Their couple shoot was a photographers dream, perfect light, an in love couple and a beautiful bride in a big white ballgown 🙂 Sylvester was so helpful maneuvering her around in her dress, so patient and caring.
After enjoying a nibble and a glass of champagne, the couple entered their reception to the loudest applause. All the speeches were heartfelt and kept me smiling from start to finish. The rest of the night was celebrated with amazing food and great music.
